Hi everyone. I hope that you’re having a good day. I’m a bit late posting my TBR for the month, I hope that you don’t mind.
I was powering through Heir of Fire for a while, and then near the end of April, I kind of fell into a slump. Which is weird, because it’s not even that I stopped enjoying it, I just stopped reading. Does this happen to anyone else? It happens to me more often then I’d like to admit, and it annoys me. Oh well…
Luckily Sarah J Maas’ A Court of Mist and Fury was released yesterday. So I’ve decided to switch to it for now. I went to the bookstore bright and early yesterday morning to get my copy. I spent a lot of time trying to find the “perfect” one too. The clerk was giving me looks. Haha.
I’m currently on page 116, and I have to admit, I’m having mixed feelings. Maas’ writing is as captivating as ever, but there are certain character choices that are concerning me. I know that’s vague, but I don’t want to spoil anything for anyone. The book is over 600 pages though, so there’s still lots of time for things to come together. I’ll post a review once I finish it. Anyone else reading it now?
Once I finish it, I am going to go back to Heir of Fire, and then hopefully start Cinder. I’m excited to begin The Lunar Chronicles because everyone on Bookstagram is telling me that I am missing out.
Speaking of Bookstagram, yesterday was also the day that I hit 1k followers. To be honest, I’m stunned. I can’t believe that I’m lucky enough to have so many bookish friends. And now I’m making new ones through this blog too. 🙂
Also, the books in the photo below are some of the ones I’ve discovered from Bookstagram/blogging.
What are you guys reading now?
Thanks for stopping by,
