Hi everyone. I hope that you all had a great day. It’s my birthday today, so mine was very nice.
My three year old was hilarious! I think she was more excited about my birthday than I was. She came running into my room and yelled, “Happy Birthday Mommy! Me think we got you a human.” Haha. I don’t know where she comes up with some of the things she says.
Also, I was spoiled rotten, and of course since my fiancé knows me very well, I got 6 books. Not to mention some David’s tea and other wonderful things.
Here are the books that I received for my birthday this year:
1. The Assassin’s Blade by Sarah J. Maas
I was super excited to get this one because I had previously tried to get it and the bookstore never had it in stock. Since I’m currently reading this series, I’m looking forward to reading the prequels and getting to know Celaena before she went to Endovier. I can’t decide if I should read it before or after Queen of Shadows though. Any suggestions?
2. to 5. The Beautiful Creatures Series by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl
I love the fact that I now have this entire series, and that they match. I love having books that match. It secretly irks me when they don’t. Haha.
Funnily enough though, I don’t really know what it’s about. I remember watching the movie trailer, but other than that I’m quite clueless. Has anyone read them? Did you enjoy them?
6. A Brief History of the Vikings by Jonathan Clements
This one is a wonderful addition to my growing collection of books on Vikings. I was a history major in university, and now studying the Vikings is a personal hobby/project of mine. It’s been quite hard to find books locally though. I know that I could order them, but I don’t do that very often anymore.
Any other history buffs out there? If so, what’s your favourite time period?
All in all, it was a great day. I feel very loved and blessed.
Well that’s basically it for my birthday book haul post. Now I have 6 more books to add to my TBR jar now. Yay! Which one of the books I got is your favourite? Or one that you’d like to read?
Thanks for stopping by. I hope that you have a good night,
